Job Description

Do you want to be part of creating life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS Youth Home Ryds Brunn is a meaningful challenge.

SiS Youth Home Ryds Brunn consists of three departments with space for 21 school-age boys; one MBB department (reception and needs assessment), one open, and one secure treatment department, as well as a primary school.

We are now looking for a treatment pedagogue to our MBB department and our open treatment department who wants to work in a team with treatment assistants, treatment pedagogues, and treatment coordinators. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the young people living with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need.

We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in everyday life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and help ensure that daily life runs smoothly with schooling, cleaning, cooking, etc. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns.

Working as a treatment pedagogue is a job for you who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in a difficult life situation. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

The working hours are according to a schedule; day - evening and weekend.

As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.

Qualifications

To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in a vulnerable life situation, and you share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are self-assured and have an easy time building relationships with young people as well as with other staff members.

You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.

You should also have:

• A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or education from a university that we assess as equivalent.
• A valid driver's license (B)
• A good understanding of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Meritorious:

• Knowledge and experience with NPF diagnoses

Employment:

The positions are permanent full-time employment and start with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
